BABEL — Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
BABEL ("the Game") is a casual arcade game where players around the world build one shared tower. This policy explains what data the Game collects and how it is used.
Data we collect
- Builder name — a nickname you choose yourself (3–12 characters). It is stored on our server and shown publicly inside the Game on the floors you build. Do not use your real name if you don't want it shown.
- Gameplay data — the number of floors you build per session, sent to our server to update the shared tower.
- Technical data — your IP address is processed transiently by our server (Cloudflare Workers) for rate limiting and abuse prevention. It is not stored permanently or linked to your nickname.
- Local data — your nickname, best scores and sound preference are stored locally on your device (localStorage) and never leave it except as described above.
Advertising
The mobile version of the Game shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob data practices. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
What we do NOT collect
- No accounts, emails, or passwords.
- No precise location.
- No contacts, photos, or files.
- We do not sell your data.
Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only user-provided data is a self-chosen nickname.
Data retention & deletion
Floors and nicknames are part of the permanent shared tower. To request removal of your nickname from the tower, contact us and we will anonymize your floors.
